The Conventual Chapter re-elected Dom Elias Dietz as abbot on July 11, the Feast of St. Benedict. Thus, he began his third six-year term as abbot of Gethsemani Abbey.

The Abbey of Gethsemani remains closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes the church, retreat house, gift shop and welcome center.

On May 17, the Sixth Sunday of Easter, Br. Matthias renewed his vows for an additional year. Thus, he continues as a junior monk of the community.

Less than a month after Br. Simeon, Br. Conrad reached 60 years of vows on April 18.

As a novice, Fr. Raphael will take on new duties and further integrate into the community. Please pray for Fr. Raphael and all our monks in formation.

On March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation, Br. Simeon reached his sixth decade in vows.
